on WEDNESDAY,

Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 6:30 p.m.

at the Town Hall of Auburn a PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED BUDGET of the

Town of Auburn in Chippewa County will be held.  The proposed budget in detail is

available for inspection, by appointment at the town clerk’s home, at 1811 State Hwy 64,           on Monday through Friday.  The following is a summary of the proposed 2016 budget:

Expected Revenues…………………………………     107,436

OF THE ELECTORS OF THE

TOWN OF AUBURN, CHIPPEWA COUNTY

 

Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, November 9, 2016

immediately following completion of the Public Hearing on the pro-

posed budget which begins at 6:30 P.M. at the Town Hall of Auburn,

a special town meeting of the electors called pursuant to section

60.12(1)(c) of Wisconsin Statutes by the town board for the following

purposes will be held:

  1. To adopt the town levy to be paid in 2016 pursuant to section

60.10(1)(a) of Wisconsin Statutes.

  1. To approve the total year 2016 highway expenditures pursuant

to Section 81.01(3)

Polling Place Location and Hours

 

 

LOCATION AND HOURS OF POLLING PLACE

 

At the General Election to be held on November 8, 2016 in the Town of Auburn,

the following polling place location will be used

the Auburn Town Hall 3826  State Hwy 64,  Bloomer, WI 54724.

 

The polls will be open at 7 A.M. and will close at 8:00 P.M.

 

At the close of voting on Election Day, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. § 19.84,

the Election Inspectors at each polling place will convene as the Local Canvassing Board

for the purpose of conducting the local canvass pursuant to Wis. Stat. §7.51. This

meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§ 19.81-89.

 

At the close of voting on Election Day, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. § 19.84,

the Election Inspectors will convene as a joint meeting of the Local Board of Canvassers

and the Municipal Board of Canvassers for the purpose of conducting the local and

municipal canvasses pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§7.51 and 7.53(1). This meeting will be

open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§ 19.81-89.

Pursuant to WI Statutes 19.85(1) Any meeting of a governmental body, upon motion duly made and carried, may be convened in closed session under one or more of the exemptions provided in this section. The motion shall be carried by a majority vote in such manner that the vote of each member is ascertained and recorded in the minutes. No motion to convene in closed session may be adopted unless the chief presiding officer announces to those present at the meeting at which such motion is made, the nature of the business to be considered at such closed session, and the specific exemption or exemptions under this subsection by which such closed session is claimed to be authorized. Such announcement shall become part of the record of the meeting. No business may be taken up at any closed session except that which relates to matters contained in the chief presiding officer’s announcement of the closed session. A closed session may be held for any of the following purposes:  Wi Statutes 19.85(1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.

Notice of Adoption of Amendments to Ordinances 80 and 41.8

 

 

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF AMENDMENTS TO ORDINANCES

 

TOWN OF AUBURN

 

 

 

 

On September 14, 2016 the Town of Auburn Board adopted an amendment to the Schedule of Fees Ordinance, Chapter 80.  This added to the schedule table the fee of $300/special meeting that is requested by a Town resident in consideration of a variance.

 

Also on September 14, 2016 the Board of the Town of Auburn adopted an amendment to the “Driveway and Highway Access Permit” Ordinance Chapter 41 Sec 8.  This amendment added that if a driveway is used in violation of the driveway ordinance the Town may take corrective action at the owner’s expense.

A dumpster is scheduled to be available at the Auburn Town Hall

3826 State Highway 64, from 9 am – 1pm, on Saturday, OCTOBER 1, 2016

This is for the convenience of each of our Town of Auburn residents

who have non-recyclable, non-household trash ONLY.   A list of

items that can/can not be dumped is posted at the Town Hall and on our

Town website at www.townofauburn.net.

 

Dumpsters in the future will be the FIRST Sat of May and October.
