NOTICE OF REFERENDUM ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at an election to be held in the Town of Auburn, on Tuesday November 6, 2018, the following question will be submitted to a vote of the people pursuant to law:
QUESTION 1: Appointment of a clerk-treasurer by the Town Board. “Shall the offices of the Town Clerk and Town Treasurer be combined and appointed by the Town Board?”
This referendum is a result of a decision of the Board to create an ordinance to combine the offices of the clerk and treasurer into an one- person position of Clerk -Treasurer, which will be appointed by the Town Board.
